The second issue arrived just yesterday and the first thing that strikes you is that the magazine is missing its spine (!), next question is were are all the models? I got a word with the publisher of the FTM Carl Axel Wahlström, “Sure we used models, its only that they´ve been portrayed with drawings, or illustrations instead of the classicla fashion photo. Even the yacht, wich is buy the way designed by Philip Starck, is real and is owned by a russian oil billionaire.”
Among the illustrators is the swedish Lovisa Burfitt. Lovisa and i missed a flight shuttle home from Paris when I lived there a few years ago. We had to spend our last money on a cab to the airport. At that time she worked with Louis Vitton, now she has her own brand under the name Burfitt. Liselotte Watkins who works for Prada, Miu Miu and H&M has also gotten a full chapter to illustrate.

Are our clicks shaping what the on-line newspapers are giving us to read?

Is the news value based on what people are clicking on? And can news about Britney Spears beat out more serious news just by how we click? I wanted to know the answer and on behalf of the newspaper Studentliv, I found out how two of Sweden’s largest media sites discuss clicks statistics.

Without clicks the network economy will stop. To be able to sell ads a site must be able to produce high numbers of visits. Each time you click on a headline or link you are telling the producer of the site what you think. Do you rather read about Britney Spears than the last of the financial crisis? Then you´re at the same time giving the paper a signal to continue to invest in Britney Gossip.
